Summer holidays are an important opportunity for Y5 pupils to prepare for the 11 Plus tests which will be taken shortly after starting back at school. It is also important for families to get away and enjoy quality time together during the summer. This is why we have come up with the perfect solution - a family holiday with 11 Plus morning tuition at Le Marronnier with its typically French farmhouse and gardens.

 

Le Marronnier is the ideal base for a wonderful summer family holiday in beautiful Burgundy. With excellent family accommodation, facilities and grounds. We offer two double rooms (one with two beds and the other with a double bed), a kitchen and two bathrooms at your disposal. Your hosts, Andrew and Marielle, are of course both DBS cleared teachers with safeguarding training. We sleep in an upstairs self-contained room with en suite and kitchenette at the other side of our long farmhouse (longère) which allows families to enjoy privacy during their stay. An hour of 11 Plus Tuition is offered every morning, weather permitting in our lovely gardens, by Andrew, a highly qualified teacher with extensive experience in 11 Plus teaching and tutoring. A further hour of supervision is also offered free which includes a 15 minute break and a 45 minute paper to tackle and be used as a basis for the following day's lesson. During this time parents and other siblings are free to take their time to enjoy breakfast al fresco, go out (we have lots of ideas for great local walks and visits) or have a lie in! If you would like to learn French while your child is prepping for the 11 Plus we can arrange that too!

The cost of a week's self catering accommodation for a family of four at Le Marronnier, including 5 hours' 11 plus tuition and five hours' directed studies is £674*. If you wish to stay for 2 weeks the price would be reduced by £75 off the second week for all reservations, so £1273*. For cancellations due to the coronavirus full refunds of deposits / payments will be made.
